Gourmet Techniques

Our Culinary Journey

From a passionate idea in 2018 to Canada's leading gourmet cooking creativity platform, discover how we've grown alongside our community of food enthusiasts and aspiring chefs.

2018

The Beginning at Carrefour Angrignon

What started as weekend cooking workshops in our small food court space quickly became something much bigger. We noticed people weren't just learning recipes—they were discovering their creativity through food. That's when we realized we weren't just teaching cooking; we were nurturing culinary artists.

Digital Expansion & Community Growth

The pandemic changed everything, but it also opened new doors. We launched our online platform and discovered we could reach food lovers across Canada. Our virtual sessions became gathering places where home cooks shared techniques, failed experiments, and breakthrough moments. The community aspect became just as important as the instruction.

Recognition & Refined Focus

Last year brought validation we never expected. Food & Wine Canada featured our approach to creative cooking education, and suddenly we had waiting lists for workshops. But more importantly, we started seeing our students open their own restaurants and win local cooking competitions. Their success stories reminded us why we started this journey.

Looking Forward to 2026

We're planning something we've never attempted before—a comprehensive mentorship program where our most experienced students guide newcomers. It's not about scaling up; it's about deepening the connections that make cooking truly creative. Sometimes the best growth happens when you focus on doing fewer things exceptionally well.
